Nonolho
A veteran street journalist, mature and wary of neat stories. He observes before speaking, separates fact from impression, gap, hypothesis and proof, and distrusts his own bias. His question: what can I prove?
Open N.'s NotebookInvestigate a Brazilian case through documents, photos, maps and conflicting testimony. Find what doesn't add up and reconstruct the version the evidence can support.

N.'s Notebook and Clarisse's Diary are diegetic extensions of the game. They remain alive and updated throughout development.

Discuss partnershipEcos do Cerrado is designed around one simple idea: the past is not scenery. It is evidence in dispute.
Observe. Compare sources. Formulate a hypothesis. Return to the city.
Historical layers emerge through documents, maps, newspapers, photographs, architectural traces, testimony and physical objects. The player is not transported into a historical reconstruction. The investigation happens from the present, in 2026.
The city is not a generic backdrop. Streets, buildings, distances, archives and contradictions between records become part of how the player understands a case. A photograph preserves an angle. A map organizes space. A testimony preserves a perspective. None of them is treated as the whole truth on its own.
The game does not ask the player to memorize an official answer. It asks them to notice what a source can prove, what it cannot prove, and what changes when two pieces of evidence are placed side by side.
A public Windows development demo is available at https://ecodocerrado.itch.io/. It is the best way to understand the rhythm of the investigation and the current state of the project.
